Program Bnei Mitzvah for Children Ages 11-13 Years Old

Heritage Bar/Bat Mitzvah Program is a strong 3-year program supervised by Rabbi Eliezer Dimarsky

These 3 years are divided into a 2-year Bar/Bat Mitzvah program
and a one-year Post Bar/Bat Mitzvah program culminating with a group trip to Israel

First year curriculum consists of teaching basic Hebrew, introduction to Jewish Holidays and observance.
Field trips and hands-on experience will make Jewish teaching a tengible and live experience.

Second year will focus on Hebrew Prayers, in depth Torah study, Mitzvos (Commandments)
and Chessed projects (acts of kindness). Students will get ready for their Graduation Ceremony in May.

Third year will offer students Modern Hebrew, monthly social events and a group trip to Israel in February

  • to open a venue for immigrant families to integrate into the jewish american community at large by teaching families the basics of main-stream jewish communal life with sensitivity and responsiveness to the special need of this community
  • to create the meaningful context for jewish learning and living in order to form a sustaining jewish identity
  • to teach the concept of tzedakah in order to increase involvement into community charitable projects
