Year after year our graduates are called to the bimah to celebrate culmination of their Jewish learning. This year B'nei Mitzvah students will study the Hebrew alphabet to prepare for the Hebrew reading skills that they will need to chant Torah and have an Aliyah the day of their Bar Mitzvah ceremony. After they have a strong beginning, we will introduce the prayers of the service to the students.

Class meetings with parents to discuss the Bar Mitzvah ceremony significance and main points will  take place a few time during the year, so that the whole family can be involved in the preparation for the ceremony. This family simcha cements the generations and is truly a time for "passing the torch" of our traditions.

This year our proud Bar and Bat Mitzvah students and their friends and family members will be invited on Sunday, June 17 to participate in the mitzvah of Coming to Age ceremonies. Every year the faces of those in the audience ere lighten up as young Jewish adults read from the Torah and speak about reclaiming their Jewish heritage.
